Gloria So One Kwon
Gloria So One Kwon, a 15-year-old violinist born in South Korea began her violin studies at age eight on Jeju Island, where her talent was recognized by Jaehyun Kim of the Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2022, she has studied at the Juilliard Pre-College on scholarship with Ann Setzer and Khullip Jeung. She has received prizes at several competitions, including the Mary G. Roebling Youth Concerto Competition and London International Music Competition. Her performance experience includes appearances at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, and the Jeju Arts Center, as well as solo performances with orchestras such as the Massapequa Philharmonic and the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey. She has served as concertmaster of the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony and String Orchestra and also is passionate about chamber music. Gloria is actively involved in community outreach and is motivated by a desire to glorify God through her music.
