Milan Raoul Solomon Bob
Milan Raoul Solomon Bob is a twelve-year-old pianist studying in New York under the guidance of his piano teacher, Adrienne Kim, at the Manhattan School of Music, Pre-College Division. A recipient of the Rosette Goodkind Scholarship, Milan’s dedication, enjoyment, and confidence are reflected in his outstanding academic achievements and piano accomplishments.
Milan has won numerous prizes at national and international piano competitions. His most recent achievement is Second Prize at the Manhattan School of Music Piano Concerto Competition. He is also a prize winner at the Anselmo International Music Competition in 2024 and 2025. This year, Milan won Second Prize and the Peter Szaunig Prizein the under-16 category at the Carl Filtsch International Piano Competition. In addition, he won First Prize and the Arena of Pianists Trophy in July.
Milan has performed in two piano recitals alongside German pianist Henriette Gärtner in Romania, at the Democratic Forum of Germans in Sibiu and at the Sebeș Lutheran Church.
As a representative of the Pre-College Division, Milan was invited to perform at the Manhattan School of Music’s largest annual celebration event in May, a scholarship benefit concert, where his performance received high acclaim.
He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished teachers such as Shai Wosner, Coral Solomon Berkovsky, and Sayaka Tanikawa. Most recently, Milan was invited to take part in Virtuosos in the Making, a special program in Nashville, where he performed and worked with world-renowned pianists and educators including Pavel Nersessian, Jerome Reed, Gracielle Kowalczyk, and Aryia Laothitinpong. He also received a masterclass from Maestro Antonio Pompa-Baldi.
Milan greatly enjoys the artistic growth and excitement he experiences while preparing for performances. He speaks four languages: English, French, Spanish, and Romanian - and enjoys drawing, painting, and reading.
