  • Yuriy Geyer, Concertmaster

    Substitute member of Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and is currently the concertmaster of the local Chicago Arts Orchestra and Northwest Festival Orchestra, and has recorded with the Naxos label.

  • Azusa Tashiro, Violin

    Concertmaster of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra. She holds positions as an Assistant Concertmaster in the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and as a Principal Second Violinist in the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.

    Holds regular positions with West Michigan Symphony and Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and performing frequently with the Chicago Philharmonic, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Iowa, and South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

    Violinist in numerous symphony orchestras, including Camerato Chicago, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the Matt Jones Orchestra.

    A founding member of the Iridescent Zeal string quartet, Rudy holds a BA from Western Michigan University and an MM from Northwestern University in viola studying under Igor Fedotov, Roland Vamos, and Charlie Pikler, with additional studies at the Peabody Conservatory under Victoria Chiang.

    Oana Tatu, Viola

    Oana is an active member of the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago, the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Jazz Philarmonic, and the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, where she loves making music alongside her longtime friends and colleagues, and strives to convey her passion for music to the minds and hearts of the many audiences of Chicagoland.

    Mark Anderson played for many years with the Lake Forest Symphony and many other local orchestras including Chicago Sinfonietta, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Rockford Symphony and Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra. He is on the faculty of the Music Institute of Chicago and Concordia University in River Forest.

    Moyer has held Principal Bass positions with the Windsor, Ontario Symphony and the Lisbon (Portugal) Metropolitan Orchestra. Locally he has performed with the Chicago Arts Orchestra, Lake Forest Symphony, Elgin Symphony, Ars Viva, and jazz gigs at City Winery and the Green Mill.

  • Jennifer Woodrum, Clarinet

    An extensive performer, Jennifer is a former founding member of Chicago’s Fifth House Ensemble and formally on faculty at Carthage College and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

  • Michael Tran, Clarinet

    Michael is currently an Associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and has performed with the Chicago Sinfonietta, Ocala Symphony, and the Fifth Wave Collective. As an educator he has given recitals, masterclasses, and clinics at universities across the country.

    Rebecca has played with groups such as the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Composers Orchestra, and Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago. She has also had the privilege of performing on tour with Josh Groban, Lindsay Stirling, Hanson, and Evanescence.

  • Ashley Ertz, Oboe

    Ertz has performed with numerous ensembles including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Quad City Symphony Orchestra, New Philharmonic, Orchestra Iowa, Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and more.

  • Steve Yepez, Flute

    Mr. Yépez has enjoyed playing in groups such as the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra and Orbert Davis, as principal flute with the Chicago Summer Opera Theater, Chicago Arts Orchestra, Orchestra NOVA, the Chicago Metropolitan Orchestra and the Lira Ensemble of Chicago. In Los Angeles, he performed with the West Los Angeles Symphony, Burbank Philharmonic, Antelope Valley Symphony and the Beach Cities Symphony Orchestra. For three summers, Mr. Yepez had the opportunity to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles as principal and assistant principal flutist in the Idyllwild Festival Orchestra.

  • John Schreckengost, Horn

    Mr. Schreckengost was named principal horn of the Northwest Indiana Symphony in 1991. He also holds positions in the Chicago Sinfonietta and Illinois Philharmonic, and has played with the Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Nutcracker Ballet at the Arie Crown, and Chicago productions of Sweeney Todd and The Secret Garden. He has substituted or played as an extra with the Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera, and Grant Park orchestras, Fulcrum Point, the Contemporary Chamber Players, and performs regularly with the Chicago Classic Brass Quintet.

    Member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago and substitute with several orchestras such as Kimpo Philharmic, Kangnam Symphony, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

  • Jon Schuler, Bassoon

    Jon Schuler regularly plays Principal Bassoon with the Northbrook & Oistrakh Symphony Orchestras, Second Bassoon with Camerata Chicago and Third Bassoon/Contrabassoon with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.

  • Daniel Williams, Clarinet

    Clarinetist, Daniel Williams, is a member of The New Millennium Orchestra of Chicago and has performed locally with the Chicago Philharmonic, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Sinfonietta, Chicago Opera Theater, Access Contemporary Music and with many of the suburban symphonies including those in Highland Park, Northbrook and Elmhurst as well as with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra and the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

  • Elizandro Garcia Montoya, Clarinet

    Elizandro Garcia Montoya He the former principal clarinet of the Sarasota Opera, the State of Mexico Orchestra and Mineria Symphony Orchestra in Mexico City. Elizandro has been a substitute with the Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Houston Grand Opera and held a bass clarinet position with the Jacksonville Symphony.

    Parker plays frequently with orchestras and large ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, and Millar Brass Ensemble, among others.

  • Sean Whitworth, Trumpet

    Sean is an avid Chicago-based freelancer and teacher and he is also a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.. As an orchestral musician he has performed with groups around the country including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Louisville Orchestra, the Brevard Music Center Orchestra, and the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.

  • Dr. Brooks Truly, Percussion

    Dr. Brooks Truly has performed with dozens of orchestras and chamber groups as a section/principal percussionist and featured soloist, as well as hundreds of drum set and theater performances throughout the Gulf Coast, South Florida, and Midwest areas. During this time, he has shared the stage with such artists as Lil Greenwood, Bobby Shew, Louie Bellson, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Jim Walker, Yo-Yo Ma, Michel Camilo, Andrea Bocelli, Ramsey Lewis, Paul Potts, Faith Hill, Elvis Costello, Evanescence, Lindsey Stirling, Hanson, Celtic Thunder, Il Volo and Il Divo.
