Qingyuan Yang
Qingyuan Yang is 15 years old and began studying the violin at the age of six. From the age of nine, he studied at the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music under the guidance of violinists Zhang Ti and Wang Jiazhi. In 2023, he began his studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK with Professor Robin Wilson.
Qingyuan has achieved significant success in international violin competitions. In 2023, he was awarded Second Prize at the Grumiaux International Violin Competition, following Second Prize at the Zhuhai Mozart International Competition in 2022. At the age of eleven, he won First Prize in the Professional Group at the 4th Singapore International Music Festival Competition. Earlier, at the age of nine, he won First Prize at both the Hohhot International Summer Camp Violin Competition and the China & South Korea International Competition.
In July 2024, Qingyuan was selected to participate in the Morningside Music Bridge, and in August 2024 he received Third Prize at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition. He was invited to participate in the Morningside Music Bridge again in July 2025.
Outside of music, Qingyuan enjoys tennis, mathematics, and reading.
