Zarin Mehta is a 16-year-old student at the Francis Parker School in Chicago, IL. He has been studying piano for 12 years and currently is coached by Winston Choi and Jeff Panko of the New Music School. Zarin studies composition under Matthew Hagle of the Music Institute of Chicago. Zarin has also studied privately with Antonio Pompa-Baldi of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Steven Osborne of the Royal Academy of Music and Mary Sauer, former principal chair of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he has participated in master classes with Emanuel Ax, Jorge Osorio, Boris Slutsky, Alexander Korsantia, Alvin Chow, Yoshi Nagai, Eteri Andjaparidze, and Marta Aznavoorian. Previously, Zarin was the pianist of the acclaimed Aster Trio coached by Desiree Ruhstrat and David Cunliffe of the Grammy nominated Lincoln Trio.
